Rainy Day

umbrella + rain = playtime!

the pups liked hanging, but tucked themselves close to the door since they weren't too fond of getting wet

the rooftop post rain shower - the FL heat has a way of just immediately turning all the fallen rain into steam

With still acclimating to Chris and I getting on the same sleep schedule, we wound up sleeping in - especially when we heard morning rain showers!  mmm the coziness of being inside is relentless on rainy days.  

That didn't last long, as we both were eager to get the day started!  After making some coffee, we got to chatting on the front porch as we watched the rain poured down.  Of course we had to run in the rain too, ha! Gosh, I love Florida sun showers!  They never last long - 30 minutes max.  Right after the brutal sun starts burning the rain to a vapor and you find yourself in a natural steam room.  Ha, thanks mother nature!

It takes days like this to reflect, and enjoy some of the smaller moments in time.

The most joyful moments can come so spontaneously

We eventually were somewhat productive, but this rainy morning was no doubt the highlight of my day!
